Part-Time Cleaner 

$20-22 / Hourly

Patriot Properties is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to support our residential apartment communities.

This position focuses on cleaning apartment units after move-outs and preparing them for new residents. We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated individual who takes pride in their work, works independently, and consistently delivers high-quality results.

Ideal for someone seeking flexible part-time hours or supplemental income, this role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and provide updates on completed work and property conditions.

Schedule & Hours

  • Part-time position

  • Approximately 10–20 hours per week, with additional hours available based on operational needs and employee availability

  • Schedule established after hire based on property needs and employee availability

This position is part-time and not eligible for company benefits. Hours will remain below full-time eligibility thresholds.

Responsibilities

  • Clean apartment units after move-outs to prepare for new residents

  • Perform detailed cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, floors, appliances, and living areas

  • Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and remove trash from units

  • Clean and sanitize surfaces, cabinets, fixtures, appliances, and windows as needed

  • Assist with basic unit preparation and move-in readiness

  • Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment

  • Identify and report damages, safety concerns, or maintenance issues

  • Assist maintenance and carpentry teams as needed, including light painting, basic tasks, and occasional errands

  • Travel between properties as required

Qualifications

  • Previous cleaning, housekeeping, custodial, or related experience preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Valid driver's license required

  • Reliable personal vehicle required

  • Working smartphone required (must be comfortable using apps, texting, and email)

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, carrying supplies, and standing for extended periods

  • Dependable attendance and reliability

Additional Information

  • Work performed on-site at apartment communities in Dubuque, IA and Platteville, WI

  • Travel between properties is required

  • Employees are required to use their own reliable vehicle for work-related travel

  • Employees are reimbursed for approved mileage incurred while clocked in and traveling between company properties during their scheduled workday. Mileage reimbursement is reflected on each paycheck.
