Skilled Apartment Renovation Technician
Patriot Properties is seeking experienced and dependable trades professionals to join our renovation and maintenance team supporting multi-family residential properties.
This position is ideal for a hands-on individual who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, enjoys working independently, and is passionate about transforming apartment homes into clean, functional, and move-in-ready living spaces. As a Skilled Apartment Renovation Technician, you will play a key role in renovating vacant units and maintaining the high standards our residents expect.
Position Overview
The Skilled Apartment Renovation Technician is responsible for completing apartment renovations from demolition through final installation and move-in readiness. This role requires experience across multiple trades, strong attention to detail, and the ability to complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Work is performed primarily in vacant apartment units and includes a variety of renovation, repair, and finishing tasks that contribute directly to the successful preparation of homes for new residents.
Responsibilities
Perform interior demolition and preparation of apartment units
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule as required
Install luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring, including glue-down systems
Install replacement windows and trim
Complete interior painting, including walls, ceilings, doors, and trim
Install appliances, toilets, shower surrounds, blinds, and other fixtures
Perform minor drywall repairs, patching, and finishing work
Complete punch-list items and final touch-ups
Ensure units meet company standards for quality and move-in readiness
Maintain organized, safe, and clean work areas
Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively
Communicate professionally with team members and management regarding project progress
Qualifications
Proven experience in multi-family renovations, apartment turns, residential remodeling, construction, or a related skilled trade
Strong knowledge of flooring installation, basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and finish work
Ability to work independently and complete projects efficiently
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
Valid driver's license required
Reliable personal vehicle required
Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly
Comfortable using smartphone applications for communication, documentation, and work order tracking
Experience with AppFolio Property Manager or similar property management software preferred
